SDM RIM TECHNOLOGY
Applying Extra Carbon Layers On The Most Needed Positions
We apply two extra layers of carbon to the spoke hole wall. The extra carbon, laid up in different angles, increases the strength of the spoke hole by 30%. During our tests, it resulted in a max spoke tension of 390 kgf. Usually, 390kgf is more than enough force to break the nipples of your wheels, so the increased strength in these rims could save you a rim. For example, if you crash into something that hits your spokes, you will only break the nipples, not the rim spoke holes. After that, all you need to replace are the less expensive spokes and nipples, not an entire wheel.
You may notice that the shape of the joint between the side wall and tire bed is not straight. In our reinforced rims, that area is shaped more like a triangle. This is the strongest structure we can build for a joint, which allows us to make the Clincher extra strong and durable without adding more than a few grams of weight.
SDM ROAD DISC HUB TECHNOLOGY
Lightweight & Stiff
When it comes to road discipline, the weight used to be a drawback for a disc brake system, but BladeX SDM Road Disc hubset has changed this. The SDM Road Disc has front and rear hubs as light as 79g and 229g, which could even be a excellent work in regular road hubs.
